Progressive Objectivism

A working philosophy of truth, freedom, and responsibility

Mission
Reconcile hard-nosed reason with genuine care for other people.
Vision
A philosophy people can actually live by, at work and in public life.

Mission

Two instincts pull against each other in most people: the demand that we face reality honestly and stand on our own, and the sense that we owe something to the people around us. Progressive Objectivism is the attempt to hold both without flinching from either.

It is not a manifesto. It is a research program. The work is to think carefully, write it down, and let the ideas be tested rather than defended. Truth first, even when it costs a favorite conclusion.

Where it stands

The program is in the research phase. The core questions are framed and the early writing is underway. The method is deliberate: build the ideas piece by piece, in public where possible, and revise them when the argument demands it.

The value right now is in the questions more than the answers. Getting those right, and stating them plainly, is the work of this stage.

Roadmap

Move from scattered essays to a coherent structure. Pressure-test the core claims against serious objections. Write the anchor pieces that a reader could start from and follow all the way through.

The long horizon is a body of thought substantial enough to argue with. That, more than agreement, is the aim.

Progressive Objectivism is the intellectual root system under the rest of the work. The threads of truth, freedom, and human experience that show up across the projects trace back here, to the questions this program exists to work out.
